2011-2012 Chapter Charity
The Children’s Hospital
The Children’s Hospital was founded in Denver, Colorado in 1908. It’s goal to be a “leader in providing the best healthcare outcomes for children” has made it one of the top ten children’s hospitals in the nation.
In years past the Mile High Denver Chapter of ARMA has supported various charities. For the second year in a row the Chapter’s Board of Directors has chosen The Children’s Hospital as our charity to support. Some things to look forward to are drives at monthly meetings to gather new DVDs to donate , or you can select an item from the Childrenﾒs Hospital Wish List. We will also be collecting any monetary support you can give. The exciting thing about monetary support is the Chapter will MATCH donations up to $500!
We are working on ways for our membership to donate their time to benefit The Children’s Hospital through a few major fundraising events. These fundraisers need people and their time to ensure they are successful. We will be providing information on those opportunities in the coming months.
In order to support this fantastic charity we are reaching out to our membership to volunteer on the newly formed Charity Committee. Bill Bradford, MHD Chapter President-Elect, and Emily Bone, Vice President, are co-chairing this committee. We would like to thank Linda Fukui and Randi Mauro for volunteering, and we need more help. Please reach out to any one of us and volunteer!
Charity Event, Hanson’s Grill and Tavern
The latest charity event raised just over $100 and was held at Hanson’s Grill and Tavern. Geeks Who Drink provided trivia for the evening and a shout out goes to Randi Mauro for her accumulation of random trivia knowledge!
